It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Engine 3 honorary Gordon Griswold.

Gordy was a staple of the Winsted Fire Department. He dedicated a majority of his life not only to responding to calls for service, but also as a houseman and dedicated driver to our antique fire truck. which we no longer have. Gordy’s life revolved around the fire department. Even in his 90s, he kept up with what was going on at the fire house. Gordy was our parade Marshall last year as well.

Gordy was, and will always be held in high regards by the Winsted Fire Dept. due to his dedication and love for the fire service as a whole.

Gordy left a profound impact on many younger generations of firefighters and he will be sorely missed by all.
