Firefighters drill in Vent, Enter, Search methods
Mon. Jul 30th 2012

On Monday, July 30, 2012 the members of the Winsted Fire Department praticed the Vent, Enter, Serch (VES) method of a quick entry into a structure to search for viable victims. Personnel practiced the use of a roof ladder to clean out a window and sash assembly, positioning a hook and haligan bar on the ladder, and climbing and entering a structure for a quick search of a room for occupants.
